	An addition to the Lancaster Greenway Preserve was made when a 6.44 acre tract was purchased. The parcel consists of flood plain along Cane Creek, and contains bottomland hardwood forests. Twenty-one acres were added to the eastern section of the Lancaster Greenway Preserve with donations by the Peterson family. Activities of Katawba Valley Land Trust have resulted in the preservation by acquisition or easement of a total of approximately 2,268 acres of land in four South Carolina counties.
